Numerous chapters of this book are geared to understanding high stakes testing. That's certainly an assessment, but I figured this would have more information about school-based assessments. It is sparse in that department. Do not get this book looking for assessment ideas, he frankly says that admins don't need to know how to create assessments, which i get. I didn't find this book as readable as others. Initially, I did, but then It felt like a textbook during the slog through the Validity, reliability and assessment bias, instructional sensitivity chapters...ugh. All words I've never heard from my current admin. I was hoping for more than a boring book on assessment.
